BIO:

Carrie Askin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides couples therapy and individual therapy for adolescents and adults. Her work is grounded in attachment-based and relational approaches, and she has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gestalt therapy, with a strong foundation in psychoanalytic theory. Carrie has spent many years working with people who feel stuck in painful relationship patterns, including couples navigating conflict, rupture, and the process of repair after a breach of trust. She brings a thoughtful, compassionate lens to understanding how relationships break down and how they can be rebuilt with more honesty, safety, and connection. She has extensive experience working with queer and trans clients, as well as people in non-traditional and non-monogamous relationship structures and is deeply committed to providing affirming and inclusive care. Carrie also works with individuals around grief, trauma, mood concerns, identity exploration, and the ongoing work of becoming more at ease with ourselves and with others. In addition to her clinical work, Carrie is the Director of Askin Psychotherapy, a small private practice offering relational, trauma-informed therapy to couples and individuals across adolescence and adulthood.
